Brentford back in the Premier League
Brentford have enjoyed a mixed start to their first ever Premier League season.
An opening night scalp against Arsenal has been followed by a 3-3 draw with Liverpool and a 2-1 downing of West Ham, while only Edouard Mendy heroics prevented them from getting at least a point against Chelsea.
On the other hand, however, there have been defeats to Norwich City and Burnley, as well as a 3-3 draw with winless Newcastle United, while they find themselves having lost 4 of their previous 5 games.
As a result, they sit in the bottom half of the table, with four points seperating them from both 9th placed Brighton, and 18th placed Burnley.
Off the pitch, however, they continue to ooze class.
Brentford reveal why they decided to keep the same kit
Today, they have announced that, for the sake of the fans and for environmental reasons, they will not be participating in the annual turnover of home kits, instead keeping their current strip for next season.

In a club statement, Brentford said:
“Whilst it is not normal practice for Premier League clubs to roll a kit over for two seasons, fans have told us that they would be in favour of the savings that a two-season shirt would provide.
This season, our membership of The Premier League means that the income we receive from broadcast and commercial partnerships far outweighs the income we can generate from retail, therefore now is the perfect time for us to try something different without it having a material impact on our revenue.
“We also think this is a step in the right direction to help the environment a little. It can only be a good to reduce kit cycles where circumstances allow, and we will continue to work with Umbro to make sure the production of our kit is as sustainable as possible. It is only a little thing, but we believe it will help.”
With kits now setting buyers back over £60, it is something that other clubs should be looking to do too.
