Manchester United players have reportedly been left worried about Erik ten Hag’s impending arrival at Old Trafford following messages exchanged with fellow Red Devil Donny van de Beek, according to reports.
It is widely expected that Ten Hag will take charge of Manchester United at the end of the season, despite no official announcement, with the Ajax boss seemingly having won the race for the role ahead of Mauricio Pochettino, who was the other man in contention.

And, one man who will know the manager well in the Manchester United squad is Van de Beek, who was sold by the Ajax boss to Manchester United in 2020. Now on loan at Everton, it is expected that he will feature more under Ten Hag when he returns in the summer, and has warned his teammates that the transition may be difficult.
That is according to the Mirror, who claim that ‘the players have been asking Donny about Ten Hag because he’s played under him before. He told them his training sessions are on a different level to what they’ve been used to and they’ll have to run like they’ve never run before.’
Major reshuffle at Old Trafford?
Of course, there is plenty of work to be done by the incoming boss. Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba will be leaving the club, along with Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata. Meanwhile, there are questions about the futures of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire.
Meanwhile, the likes of David De Gea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are unsuited to the style of football Ten Hag favours, meaning that there will be plenty to do this summer for the new Manchester United boss.
