Ralf Rangnick offers injury updates on 3 Man Utd stars ahead of Young Boys clash

Ralf Rangnick has revealed that Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani have both returned to Manchester United training as they near a comeback.

Both players have missed the teams last six games in all competitions, with Varane dealing with a hamstring injury and Cavani complaining of tendon discomfort.

Fortunately, the pair are both closing in on a comeback as Rangnick revealed that they are training again, although neither will be ready in time to feature in Wednesday’s visit from Young Boys, in which United need just a point to confirm top spot in their Champions League group.

“They both cannot play tomorrow but they were part of the training session today. Edi even yesterday, Rapha it was the first time he was on the pitch with the team,” said Rangnick.

“If everything goes well I expect them both back in full training next week so from Monday they will be participating in all training sessions.
