Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has, on Saturday evening, provided a fresh insight into the wellbeing of youngster Ansu Fati.
Wide-man Ansu has of course not featured for Barca since late January, confined to the sidelines owing to a fresh hamstring injury picked up during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club.
Recent weeks, though, have seen excitement begin to mount across the Blaugrana’s fanbase, as the club’s explosive youth product inches ever closer to a return to the pitch.

Speaking in a press conference on Saturday evening, it therefore came as little surprise when Xavi was asked for the latest on Ansu’s recovery efforts.
And the Spanish tactician went on to confirm that his gifted young attacker is back in full first-team training, ahead of an expected return in Blaugrana colours ‘soon’:
Xavi: “We are very happy to have Ansu Fati back training with us. Things are looking good, hopefully he can return to the team soon.” pic.twitter.com/eHv1sfu9Lq

Any of a Barcelona persuasion who were therefore hopeful of seeing Ansu back on the pitch as soon as this weekend, however, need not get too carried away.
Xavi and co. are of course set to mark their return to La Liga action on Sunday evening, when the Catalans make the trip to relegation-battling Levante.
Ansu, however, was not part of the travelling squad unveiled across Barca’s social media platforms earlier today, with the 19-year-old more likely to return to matchday duties either in midweek versus Eintracht Frankfurt, or against Cadiz four days later.
